This is the annual physical, not the emergency room. Nothing is on fire, and you want an honest read on how the whole organization is doing.
A good doctor does not just treat the symptom you walked in with. They look you over first, because the thing that hurts is often not the thing that is wrong. So we look across the seven essential elements that every healthy organization runs on: purpose, team, systems, measurement, relationships, communication, and innovation. This is an honest look at where you are strong, where you are struggling, and what to do next. No fluff. Just clarity. Just be honest, and we will take it from there.
For each element, read the five descriptions and pick the one that honestly sounds most like you today. Not where you wish you were. Where you actually are. One rule as you go: if any part of a level is not true of you yet, you are not at that level, so choose the highest one where all of it is true. Level 1 is weakest and Level 5 is a genuine, sustaining strength.
It takes about fifteen minutes. When you are done, I will show you where you are least mature, why it matters, a few quick things you can do to move up, and exactly where to go for each. One thing at a time.
