Choose the tactics most likely to move your specific decision-maker, matched to your leverage and checked against the legal bright lines your attorney defined, so your action is both effective and safe.
In Build a Strategy for the Change You Seek, after your power map, before you build the action plan.
There is no universal winning tactic. The right ones depend entirely on your issue, your decision-maker, your leverage, and your legal room. This tool helps you choose deliberately and check your choices; it does not tell you which tactics are permitted, which is your legal room's answer and your attorney's to give.
For each chosen tactic, is it clearly within our attorney-defined bright lines? Any tactic that touches elections, candidates, or the limits our attorney set, we confirm with counsel before it enters the plan. A tactic that fails this check does not enter your plan until counsel clears it, no matter how effective it looks; a single tactic over the line can endanger your tax-exempt standing. The compliance side is compliance, legal and risk.
A good tactic set is matched to where you actually have leverage and fully inside your legal room. Match the tactic to the leverage, clear it against the law, and only then build the plan. Feeds the Advocacy Action Plan.
