Actually change how work happens so the pace becomes survivable, and build the protections that keep the old pace from creeping back, because burnout is a load problem solved by changing the load, not by asking depleted people to endure it better.
Use it after the verdict is sustainable with changes, or alongside a routed overload to ease immediate harm. Give every load change and protection an owner, because unowned changes are wishes.
The rule: reducing the load is the work. If nothing concrete stops or lightens, you have not addressed burnout, you have only discussed it.
