Test how resilient you really are by running your worst exposure as a real scenario, so a comfortable rating does not hide a dangerous gap.
After the scored diagnostic, before you write your priority plan. Take your single most dangerous exposure and walk it forward as if it happened next month.
| Question | Honest answer |
|---|---|
| What is the immediate hole it opens, in money, space, or capacity? | |
| Which of your services would stop, and who would be harmed? | |
| Could you make payroll and keep the doors open through it? |
| Question | Honest answer |
|---|---|
| How long would it take to recover or replace what you lost? | |
| What would you wish you had done before, that would have made this survivable? |
Where your honest answer is worse than your diagnostic rating suggested, trust the honest answer and adjust your finding. The line about what you wish you had done is your plan writing itself: it names the reduction, protection, or plan that would have made the shock survivable, and that is where your priority plan should start.
