If a funder pressures you to report a change you cannot honestly show, or to omit a true result, report what is true and scope claims to what you can defend. Where the funder relationship strains under honesty, that relationship question routes to the funding work, never to a softening of the evidence. The decision to report honestly rather than only favorably cannot be delegated.
