Find where and why people have checked out, because disengagement has distinct causes, being unseen, losing the thread of meaning, not belonging, or having no voice, and each is re-engaged differently.
Use it at the start of the engagement guide, before trying to bring anyone back. For the team, and for the pockets where it is worst, name what is actually driving the disengagement.
The test: can you say why the caring left, not just that it did? If your only answer is that morale is low, you have not found the cause yet, and recognition aimed at the wrong cause will not land.
