Board Financial Reporting Pack.

Give the board a short, plain financial report on a regular rhythm, so the people responsible for the organization can actually see where it stands, and oversight becomes real instead of assumed.

After your dashboard exists, in See Your True Financial Position, and every reporting period thereafter. Assemble the same short pack each period, so the board learns to read it.

What goes in the pack

The dashboard, this period.

The two statements: what you own and owe, and what came in and went out.

A short narrative, a few sentences in plain words: what the numbers say, what changed, and anything the board should watch or decide.

Any decision the board needs to make, stated plainly.

Make it readable

Lead with the plain-language narrative, not the spreadsheets, and flag the two or three numbers that matter most this period

Set the rhythm

How often the board sees the full pack (at least quarterly, ideally every meeting)

Who presents it (usually the Treasurer), and that it is a standing item on the meeting calendar

If the board will not engage

If the board does not read the pack, cannot follow it even in plain form, or treats the finances as someone else's job, that is a governance problem underneath the finances. Keep producing the pack, and take the board question to board governance and development.
